I’ve got two outstanding (not read out yet) pieces of work to read at Creative Writing tomorrow. So rather than hog the morning by writing a biography (early years) of a fictional character like we were supposed to do I decided to write it as a limerick. Here it is.

There was a fine cockerel called Dumpty
Who fancied a bit of a numpty.
He wed the fair maid
And some ova she laid
And their first born they called Humpty Dumpty.
